The CLARiTY CCD is just like your favorite diode array spectrometer (think Agilent 8453/4, for instance), plus CLARiTY performance. This means fast, easy, correct absorbance on suspensions or solids as well as solutions. You decide what is “clear enough.”
The gold pyramid chassis was inspired by an early CLARiTY owner referring to his as a “spectrophotometer of the gods.” Within this housing is a pulsed xenon source with integrated shutter and a CCD by Avantes. This hardware supports collection of 1-10 full scans per second. Plus, of course, the sample holder unique to CLARiTY spectrometers, the DSPC.
Specify the most narrow range that is practical for you, as this ensures the highest light levels and thus sensitivity, as well as sharpest resolution.
For instance, the 90 nm span with resolution of 0.2 nm is for pasteurization studies, where as the 200 nm span with resolution of 1.1 nm is for electron transport region.
There are other options than those noted here, but these are the four most popular:
Need more than one DSPC or even more than one CCD? Removing the lid opens access to the components.
